1. About this policy
GROSURE ECOMM SOLUTIONS LLP, based in Malad, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, operates MaruTally. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use support.marutally.com and related MaruTally services. Our main website is marutally.com; this policy applies to related interactions there where it is linked.
For privacy questions, corrections, deletion requests or complaints, contact us at supportmarutally@gmail.com. You do not need to contact a separate privacy department.
2. Information we collect
Depending on the forms you complete and features you use, we collect:
- Account and sign-in information: your email address; mobile number or Tally serial number when used to sign in; verification and consent records; and login preferences. If you choose Google sign-in, we receive your verified email address, name where provided, and Google account identifier.
- Business and address details: company name, address lines, city, country, state and PIN/postal code, together with GSTIN and PAN where provided.
- Business contacts: the owner's/contact person's name, email address and phone number, and optional accountant name, email address and phone number.
- Optional bank details: account holder name, bank account number, IFSC, SWIFT code, bank name, branch, BSR code and client code, where you enter them in the company profile form. These are different from card details entered through the payment provider.
- Team-member details: names, email addresses, optional phone numbers, and account access/role information when your business adds users.
- Licence, subscription and billing records: Tally serial number, selected products and plans, subscription periods, orders, invoices, amounts, taxes, payment references and payment status.
- Support and feedback information: ticket-raiser name, issue category, subject, description, priority, messages, ratings and feedback, together with attachments, screenshots or voice notes you choose to submit. We also receive company-profile change requests and their accompanying notes.
- Partner and referral records, where applicable: partner contact person and designation, business profile, operating area, referral details, customer attribution, commission and payout records used to administer the partner relationship.
- Service-specific information: information requested for a feature you use, such as reported processing volume for a managed service, and data you select and authorise us to process for a requested task.
If you request an available remote-support feature, we keep the request, approval and session activity records needed to provide and audit that support. Authorised support may involve viewing information you choose to make available during the session. When you open a connected MaruTally product, account identifiers and access information may be used to sign you into that product.
We also collect technical and security information through service use, including IP addresses, login/session information, browser/user-agent information and activity records. These records are collected through system operation rather than only through visible form fields.
Not every field is required for every customer. Optional information is collected when you provide it, and additional fields may depend on your role or the feature you use. Please provide other people's contact details only when you are authorised to do so.
The business profile, optional bank details and records of your purchases from MaruTally are separate from the customer accounting books or complete Tally database that ordinarily remain on your own systems.
3. Customer accounting/Tally data
Your accounting/Tally data ordinarily remains on your own systems. We do not host your complete accounting database as part of the standard portal service.
When you select data for processing, the selected information may be sent to MaruTally, processed for the requested task and returned to you. Any retention depends on the task and your agreed requirements. Please agree storage and deletion requirements with us before submitting data where they matter to your business. We do not promise that every temporary file, log or backup is deleted immediately after returning a result.
We do not sell your submitted data or use it for unrelated marketing. Submit only information necessary for the task and for which you have the required permissions. Where we act under your business's instructions, any legally required processing agreement must be put in place for the relevant task.
4. How we use information
The information used depends on your account, the forms you complete and the service you request:
| Information | Why we use it |
|---|---|
| Email address, login identifier and verification information; Google identity if you choose that sign-in method | Register or identify your account, verify sign-in and provide access to the correct business account. |
| Company name, business address, country/state and GSTIN where provided | Maintain your business profile, display billing details, determine applicable tax treatment and prepare invoices. |
| Owner/contact name, email address and phone number | Maintain your account contacts, verify account access where applicable, and send relevant support, billing and service communications. |
| PAN where provided | Maintain the business identity record; compare identity details in partner self-referral checks where that workflow applies. |
| Optional accountant name, email address and phone number | Store and display the accountant contact details provided in your company profile. |
| Optional bank account holder, account number, IFSC/SWIFT, bank/branch and BSR/client codes | Store and display the bank details you choose to include in your business profile. Providing these fields does not itself authorise a debit or recurring payment. |
| Tally serial number and licence/subscription details | Identify the linked business/licence, check licence status and provide the purchased product access, renewal and expiry information. |
| Team-member names, email addresses, optional phone numbers and access roles | Invite users, associate them with your company and manage their permitted account access. |
| Orders, selected plans, prices, tax amounts, invoices and payment references/status | Create orders, verify payment, activate or renew the purchased service, maintain billing history and issue or deliver invoices. |
| Ticket details, messages, attachments, voice notes, screenshots, ratings and feedback | Investigate and respond to issues, maintain the support conversation, review reported problems and handle feedback. |
| Company-profile change requests and notes | Record the requested change and allow support to verify it before protected business information is amended. |
| Reported processing volume for a managed service | Record the volume submitted for the relevant managed-service request. |
| Partner profile, referral, attribution, commission and payout records | Administer the partner relationship, check referral eligibility, calculate commissions and record settlements where applicable. |
| Remote-support requests, approvals and session activity | Arrange and audit support you request or authorise. |
| Connected-product account identifiers and access records | Verify access and provide the integration or connected product you choose to use. |
| Consent version, time, IP address and relevant preferences | Record the notice/permissions accepted and apply relevant account or communication preferences. |
| IP address, browser/user-agent, session and activity records | Maintain sessions, secure account access, record relevant activity and investigate service or security issues. |
| Data you select for a requested processing task | Perform that task and return its result, subject to the instructions and retention arrangements agreed for it. |
We also use relevant records to meet applicable legal obligations and address disputes or misuse. We obtain consent where required and otherwise process information only on grounds permitted by applicable law. Optional marketing, if offered, is separate from necessary service communications, and you can ask to stop optional marketing.
5. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information or share it with unrelated businesses for their own marketing. Access within MaruTally is limited to authorised people who need it for their work.
Some information passes through external services needed for the features you use:
| Recipient category | Information and purpose |
|---|---|
| Payment processors, payment gateways, banks and payment networks | Relevant order, contact, amount and payment information to complete and verify payments, return transaction status, and address payment discrepancies or fraud. |
| Email delivery and mailbox providers | Relevant email addresses, message contents, invoices or other attachments and delivery information to provide account, billing and support communications. |
| Business messaging platforms | Relevant phone numbers, message contents, invoices or attachments and delivery information when the service uses that channel, subject to applicable preferences and permissions. |
| Sign-in/identity providers, if you choose an external sign-in option | Authentication requests and identity information needed to verify your sign-in and link it to your account. |
| Your authorised account users and integrations | Information needed for the access or tasks you authorise. |
| Approved referral or service partners, where applicable | Limited business relationship, referral and commission information needed to administer the applicable arrangement; this does not give partners general access to your accounting data. |
| Web infrastructure, content delivery and notification services | Connection information needed to serve website resources, secure delivery and send browser notifications if you enable them. |
The actual provider is identified in the relevant payment, sign-in or communication flow where applicable. You may contact supportmarutally@gmail.com for details of providers involved in processing your information. Providers may also process information independently under their own privacy notices and legal obligations. We will provide additional provider-specific information or obtain consent where required by applicable law or the relevant service arrangements. This policy is not blanket consent to disclose information to any third party for any purpose.
We may also disclose relevant information where lawfully required by an authority or court, or where reasonably necessary to protect rights, investigate fraud or address a security incident, subject to applicable law.
6. Storage and security
Our primary MaruTally server is a private, locally operated system in India, managed by the MaruTally team. External payment, email and messaging services may process information in other countries. Private hosting does not mean that every provider processes information only in India. Applicable transfer requirements must be met where required.
We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards, including account and access controls, to protect information. No system or method of transmission is completely secure. Keep your login information confidential and report suspected misuse to our support email.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain information for relevant service, support, security, accounting and legal purposes. Retention of selected task data depends on the task and agreed customer instructions. We do not currently promise one fixed retention or automatic deletion period for every data category.
You may request account closure or deletion at supportmarutally@gmail.com. We will review the request, explain any legal or operational retention exceptions and handle it within applicable legal requirements. Some records, such as invoices, may need to be retained. Temporary copies and backups may follow separate deletion cycles; contact us if your task requires a specific arrangement.
Subscription expiry does not itself delete account information or guarantee continuing portal access. Retention must remain limited to a legitimate purpose and applicable legal requirements.
8. Cookies and your choices
The portal uses cookies and similar mechanisms needed for login, session management, remembered-device preferences and security. Browser storage may also remember interface preferences and support installation of the portal as an app. If you enable browser notifications, we use a device/browser subscription to deliver them; you can disable them in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent the portal from working. Any optional analytics or advertising tracking must be disclosed separately and use consent controls where required.
Where available, signed-in account tools let you export selected account information or submit a deletion request for review. The export is not a promise that every record held in every system is included; contact us if you need additional information.
You may contact us to request access to your information, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent where relevant, or review of a privacy concern. Available rights depend on applicable law. We may verify your identity and authority before responding. Withdrawing consent may affect a service that needs the relevant processing.
Where a request concerns data processed under another business's instructions, we may direct you to that business and assist as appropriate. Nothing in this policy restricts complaints or remedies available through a competent authority under applicable law.
9. Children and updates
Our services are intended for business users aged 18 or above and are not directed at children. Do not submit children's information without appropriate authority and prior arrangements for any legally required safeguards.
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will identify the effective date and provide appropriate notice of material changes. Publishing an update does not replace consent where consent is required.
